We live in a manner that sun light exposure on our bodies is limited. Even doctors recommend we stay OUT of the sun. We evolved in the sun and it was natural for us to be exposed to the sun daily. Burning did not occur because we where in the sun everyday and were not therefore "burnt". Obviously if you have a tan it is difficult to burn and strangely enough when you vitamin D level is optimized it is more difficult to burn. The sun is a good thing if exposed every day and reddening of the skin is avoided. Moderation!
What else. We consume what amounts to a poison as normal everyday and with encouragement from the media and medicine. A pretty strong statement and I will back it up.
Sugar and carbohydrates ( refined grains) cause a spike in blood sugar. Keep in mind that grains breakdown into sugars in the body. Then the blood sugar is rapidly metabolized and the blood sugar drops, but the insulin level is still up. This causes immediate inflammation. You can control a certain amount of this with anti inflammatory herbs, but why do it in the first place.
What else. These sugars help a certain kind of bacteria multiply in your gut. These bacteria are destructive and tend to cause inflammation, swelling and disease. They also effect your mood ( in a bad way) and decrease your ability to fight off disease. Many people do not tolerate lactose the sugar in milk. Some are effected minimally to not at all, but they are in the minority. It is a unnatural protein for us to consume and from another species of animal.
Without these foods in the gut we naturally have a probiotic gut because the "good" bacteria are encouraged to multiply and because they are so different, the bad bacteria to die.
To avoid these foods almost requires a religious fervour and most will not. If you hurt enough and there is no choice some will try and see benefits. Food is very important to us and has addictive properties. Especially sugar and dairy products. Is it worth a try....that is your choice. How bad do you feel and how much better would you like to feel. Definitely a personal decision.
A probiotic can be taken daily and a lot of good will be done. But it needs to be done at least daily because the sugar, in your diet, will tend to encourage the bad bacteria to grow and out number the good ones. A battle in your gut,,,,quite literally...and your immune function will go up and down along with mood etc.
I don't make this stuff up. Do your own research. Remember doctors are taught almost nothing about diet and RN's some. What I have learned is by self education. I recommend you do the same. Personally, I do not like being in pain and feeling terrible.
