Help us continue to improve

We're constantly trying to improve and implement new features, to grow, engage and have better outreach.

What kind of things should we implement next? Should we offer our site in Spanish? Should we do a weekly podcast? It's your chance to decide! We want you to help us figure this out.

Below is a link to an interactive forum so you can voice your opinion on what you want and what proposed features from others you like and think we should implement.

Here's how it works:
  • You get 10 vote-points.
  • You can vote up to three points per idea you like.
  • If you have an idea and it's not currently listed, list your idea and give it how many votes you'd like.
  • The ideas that get the most votes will be most considered to implement next.
Just follow the link below and vote for your favorite ideas and offer your own ideas for what the things the Vitamin D Council should do next:

Going into the sun to obtain vitamin D has a favourable side effect. That effect is that you just feel better. Every one just feels better if the sun is shinning, but we believe the effect maybe related to endorphins release in the skin. Just keep in mind that if you are a older guy ( above fifty years old) you may not be efficient making vitamin D in your skin. It is quite possible that getting to a optimum blood level is only achievable with supplements. Also everyone should know that in northern latitudes the sun is to low to make vitamin D durring seasons other than summer.  Everything slows down as you get older. Sorry.

On October 22nd, PubMed released a new feature called PubMed Commons. This will allow users to comment on published abstracts on the PubMed website, although it is in its very early stages.

For now, only a select group of researchers and their invited guests can use the system. But soon any PubMed author will be allowed to comment under his or her real name.

For the current pilot testing phase there is a limited facility for joining that may work for you. Several organizations have provided lists of approved author e-mail addresses. If you are included on the list, you can request an invitation to join. Additional options for joining will be provided in future releases.
