Sugar and Carbs = Cancer

8/30/2013

Now that I have your attention I will explain a little. Seems many respected Medical providers, including Mercola, claims that cancer cells are unique. In fact they are damaged goods and can only grow with sugar or carbs and carbs breakdown into sugar. Healthy cells can use other things for energy, like keytones. ( Ever wonder why you like toast? The bread is broken down by heat into a sugar coating that is brown on the surface of the toast). So back to the story. If cancer can not grow with out sugar it will stop growing and even get smaller if starved of sugar. Is it cruel to starve cancer? I don't think so.
So here is a article ( there are more, just let your google do the looking) that backs up that argument. Think I would try it myself, but be forewarned sugar is as addictive as any substance can be.
Here is the article....And don't blame me I just report the facts and while I am at it why don't the big cancer treatment centors give their patients this option?

Prevention. A simple graph to show your health provider.

The Chinese said a picture is worth a thousand words. True, but a graph can be very illuminating also. So print this off for your Doctor or health provider and see what he says. Don't be surprised if he is defensive, hostile or defensive. Looks like to me, and i believe, every disease is reduced by a very significant amount!

In their defence they just don't have the time to read this stuff, but you have the time to show them it and where you found it. Also there is inertia to change with all most everything. To survive a with a better quality of life and quantity too, it is up to you. There are lots of references to different studies trends etc here. Just look back through all the previous comments and studies.
It is your life so make it happen!

Tidbits of information

I try to blog on Tuesday when the VDC puts out a News letter, but I have not seen one yet so here goes. I find this stuff absolutely fascinating.
There a lots of studies telling us that sunlight is good for you, despite entrenched thoughts by Dermatologist. One study says sunlight independent of vitamin D seems to decrease the risk of a Multiple Sclerosis attack. They don't know what it is yet, but it looks like a real thing. Of course, vitamin D is good for MS also and I am starting to see evidence that MS attacks are less with vitamin D also.
Here is another one. If you sit in the sun for twenty minutes your blood pressure drops for fifty minutes. They tested this buy using a sun lamp that did not have vitamin D rays in it. Here is the report.  http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/vitamin-d-news/uv-exposure-directly-lowers-blood-pressure/   It appears there are bodies in the skin that releases nitic oxide and that causes vaso dilatation of the blood vessels. Who would have thought it?
So it seems that the sun is good for you if you use it judiciously. Too much and you burn and that is not good. So it is like anything else, you have to use judgement and be responsible because a burn can set you up for skin cancer later in life.
One last thing, redheads and brunettes especially will tan instead of burn like they use to if the optimize there vitamin D levels. In fact anyone with a optimized vitamin D level will end of with a nicer tan than they have ever had before. I have a red headed brother. He says he use to burn and now just freckles and tans. One of many such reports I have heard.
So, hope you found this interesting. Enjoy the summer and the sun, just don't get pink or burn and also recall as you tan you absorb less of the vitamin D ray.

I spent fifty years in the health care system

I am sure that many people ask their health care provider about some of the things I report on here for validity. I am sure most everyone said, I don't know about that or it is unproven so consider that. But consider this. Almost all these studies are done by Doctors. Many are not double blind or if they are they suggest more studies. I have no argument about that. At the same time please recall that I do not endorse anything I consider dangerous.
Also realize until something is considered a standard of practice in medicine many health care providers will officially shun this information. Why is that? Unfortunately if you are not doing what 90% of the rest health providers are doing you can be considered for malpractice. A health provider can lose their license and some have for doing innovative medicine. This discourages innovation, imho.
There are two reasons why I do not worry about that. One is that I am a RN and our license states our mission is to maintain homeo stasis. Another way of saying health, so I see myself as living up to that standard. That differs from a Doctors license which says their mission is to treat disease. The other reason is I am retired and do not intend to ever re enter the work force.
I have always found interesting the maintenance of health for a very important reason. I want to have a pain free mobile old age and if I live longer in this process, that is a bonus. I enjoy this kind of reporting as I see the benefits in those who follow these studies. I also have the time to search for new things to report on. Something many health providers do not have the time to do.
Recently I have received a report that products for arthitis over the counter that contain Boswellia Serrata are very effective in reducing joint pain. I told a few people about it and the reports are all good. Apparently it is a very old supplement that has BIG anti inflammatory effects and no significant side effects. That is right down my alley.
So what the hell is Boswellia Serrata. Never heard of that stuff and it doesn’t really roll off the tongue as something you want to try! It is included in one of the products that also contains glucosamine. I do not endorse products or even want to be suspected of endorsing a product, if I can.  If you look at the various products you will find it easily on the same shelf as other proprietor products for joint pain. Perhaps you have heard of the more popular name for Boswellia Serrata. Frankensense!

George Bush has stent of artery

I some times use the news to make a point. What could have prevented this blockage of a artery in his heart? What could reverse this blockage and actually remove safely material blocking that artery. The answer is the vitamin K2. This important vitamin directs calcium to the correct place ( bones) and tells calcium in the wrong place (arteries) to move to the bones. That is what the studies say! Studies have shown a fifty percent reduction in artery blockage in six months.
How to get this vitamin. A pill or home made fermented foods. A caveat. Vitamin K2 normalizes clotting of blood so anyone on a blood thinner should NOT do this without medical supervision.
4:16 pm. I seem to be getting quite a response to this blog. I think you might find a article on the importance of K2 in the total scheme of things interesting.
