So how do you predict a heart attack. Everyone knows about the athlete who was supposedly healthy and suddenly dies from a massive coronary. Well they studied it and found.......calcium deposits around the heart where the best predictors according to the study below.
As a reminder, calcium supplements are not a good idea. Studies have shown heart attack rates go up when taking calcium. There is plenty of calcium in our diet. Chinese hardly ever got milk products after being weaned. This from a study years ago. Chinese society is changing so I am not sure if they are eating more diary now. There osteoporosis rate in China is nearly non existent.
So, one more fact. What causes calcium to not go to your bones where it should go? The answer is a lack of vitamin k2. Where do you get vitamin K2? Natto has a lot and cheese curd has some. Fermented foods like sauerkraut also. I am talking about actually live cultures of fermented foods. Cabbage soaked in vinegar does not do it and that is what you get from a grocery store.
So here is the study. You may have to sign up to read it but the news letter is free....

Ps..You may read that k2 is also made in the gut. Yes it is, but the American diet does not encourage or facilitate it.
