The treatment. Continue to eat sugar and carbs but take a good probiotic three times a day with meals and every you snack. I believe after meals is best. Different people say different things about the exact timing. The cure.....Limit your carbs to 100 calories a day and you will not need a probiotic. The reason for that is the bad bacteria have difficulty living without carbs. In that case your gut will be "naturally" probiotic.
What is a good pro biotic? A good probiotic is one that has a larger number of " strains". I use one that is ten strains and 35 billion colony count per pill. I also use sour kraut, which is the best, at 4 to 10 TRILLION per two to four ounces. Store bought sauer kraut is NOT probiotic. I make my own. Look on youtube to find out how
Before starting the pills, I suggest eating yogurt, with a live culture, for a couple of weeks before. Plain yogurt is better in that the colony count is higher. Add fruit to taste at the time you add it to your meal. .
When starting pro biotics or increasing probiotics it must be done slowly. A large increase in pro biotics kills the bad bacteria ( airobic) and this causing their disintegration and release of the toxins that causes stress etc and all the problems related. Sauer kraut is easy to make and a lot cheaper. See youtube for video's to do so..
This is how I would do it. A teaspoon of sauer kraut or probiotic with one billion colony count. See what happens. If tolerated repeat in four or five hours with meals. If not tolerated wait until the next day and try again until that dose is tolerated. Build up your dose until it is tolerated well with all meals. This is a slow process. Your are probably trying to reverse the effects of decade of bad food and the inflammation it has caused. Perhaps a process of a couple years. Years. But the good news once you get to a dose that you can tolerate three times a day you will feel the difference.
