Vitamin D at the Olympics
The Olympics are well underway, where the world’s greatest athletes come to compete. Can vitamin D play a role and be the difference between a silver and gold?

Athletes are beginning to catch on to the fact that vitamin D plays a role in balance, strength, and muscle repair. Vitamin D increases the size of fast-twitch muscles and general muscle strength, helpful in the quick sprints and explosive movements. Past research has shown athletes with higher vitamin D levels can jump higher, quicker, and with greater power than those with the lowest levels.

Dr Cannell discusses the importance of vitamin D in his book Athlete's Edge: Faster, Quicker, Stronger with Vitamin D. With a donation of $100 or more you will receive a personalized, signed copy of Dr Cannell’s book. Learn all about Dr Cannell’s theory on the 1968 Olympics and what made them such an extraordinary Olympics.
