Vitamin D Could Treat and/or Prevent Corona virus

It is just a fact that vitamin D increases peptides that fight viruses and improves immune function. It is just a fact that no one has ever become toxic from 10k of vitamin D a day. It is just facts that 20 minutes in the sun with white skin at high noon you get 20 k of vitamin D with pink skin. It is a fact that no Life guard has ever gotten toxic from being in the sun.
Remember that if you have dark skin it takes longer to get 20 k and black skin five times longer that white skin. Just a fact.
Vitamin D utilizes magnesium. You don't want to go without. Just a fact. Read my "about" for reasons.
Read.

Lets talk about Bones...the Symphony

Lots of people think that by taking calcium they are doing good things for their bones. In fact, some say taking calcium has been shown to increase heart attack rate!
http://www.berkeleywellness.com/supplements/minerals/article/calcium-supplements-heartening-news
If one looks at the historical data on calcium ingestion in China one finds that they are weaned of breast milk as a child and do use milk as a adult. Results. All I can say is Chinese have less osteoporosis than Americans. Check it out! Use www.ixquick.com
How to make your bones stronger and even prevent coronary heart disease is the aim of this little blog. Hear it is. (Bones require a symphony of elements to strengthen them. Not a solo of calcium, which I think does not need to be taken. There is plenty of calcium in our diet, it just is not utilized.) Vitamin D ( I recommend ten thousand a  day and get tested in three months), Magnesium ( not magnesium Oxide...its a laxative), boron and vitamin k2 ( specifically the MK 7 kind).
Mk7 is one of many subdivisions of vitamin k2. I take a brand that contains not only mk7 but mk4 also. Mk7 specifically directs calcium to the bones and not the blood vessels. I recommend 200 mg of mk7 a day. Calcium in the coronary arteries is the leading indicator of a pending heart attack.
Why don't docs tell you this? Because they get zero teaching on diet. Their license is for the treatment of disease and not for prevention. On the other hand, a Nurses license is for the maintenance of homeo stasis ( Health) and we do get some teaching of diet.
Lets face it. Diet is a complex subject requiring a great deal of study. Yours truly finds the maintenance of health a fascinating subject and at age 78 I still am free of and significant disease.

Sinus problems

Sinus problems.....everyone has a problem from time to time. For some the problem just smolders away never quite going away. I have a treatment that really works.
First a little background. When you go to a doc and get some antibiotics what happens. Well you kill the bacteria causing the infection of your sinuses. This assumes the antibiotic works. Yes, but what else happens. You promote yeast fungi infections.
The mechanism is that you kill off the bacteria, but that bacteria competes with yeast, fungi and encourages their growth. Females end up with a yeast infection that is obvious to them and males do to, but not as obvious to them because of sexual differences. Do fungi and yeast grow rampantly in your sinuses. You bet cha....
The treatment. Cheap and effective. Iodine. Use a netti pot, but instead of just salt water in it add one drop of iodine. You know the stuff....tincture of iodine. Same stuff that was used years ago and kills all bacteria, yeast and fungi. Three bucks in the local pharmacy.
I would do it three times a day, but the most important time is bed time. That sinus infection can and will sometimes drain into your lungs at night and cause bronchitis and all sorts of mischief. I would do it for a week and consider doing it periodically to keep those evil spirits away ( bacteria, fungi and yeast).
I had sinus problems brewing for at least eight years with a sore in my nose. Everyday I was blowing blood and green stuff out of my nose. Some days worse than others. The sore is gone and so is the sinus infection.
The end.

Note to my Granddaughter Swim competitor....click here

Sent to my granddaughter who is one of 36 girls to compete in the mid Atlantic swim zone. Pre Olympic stuff. There are 142 swim clubs. I am very proud of her!

When a impulse goes down a nerve and into a muscle cell two minerals are very important. To cause the muscle cell to open its door to the impulse calcium is needed. To close the door magnesium is needed. Without adequate magnesium the muscle is slow to close the door. This will impact muscle control and can cause cramps spasms. Magnesium is reduced by stress, anxiety, exercise and sugar and carbs. Krebs cycle The muscle cells need malic acid to create energy. A strength issue. Without malic acid the muscle cell is broken down for energy. So you end up with less muscle than if malic acid is present in adequate amounts. Malic acid is in all fruit.
Hope you find this interesting. Obviously it does not just apply to young teen athletes.

Update

3/25/2018

Life gets busy and I have been negligent in updating this blog. So some up date of new things.
Nicotinamide Riboside. First this is a vitamin so basically no worries about taking it. Second it has the potential of making you younger on the cellar level. Universities are studying it and there are plenty of studies out there on mice and rodents effectiveness of the vitamin.
Second you can not get enough of this vitamin in your diet if you are older. Older means probably above 30.
third what does it do? it reestablishes full communication between the mitochrondia of the cell and the synapses. As we age that communication decreases and it is important for muscle and brain to have those communications to function on a younger level. It is believed this is a true indicator of ageing. In mice it works. Old mice act and look younger and live longer. A good thing, I think.
It is in your body, but in smaller amounts then needed and by taking more it reestablishes the communication by a different means in the mitochondria. Kind of a short cut.
Exactly what is it. Niacin is a B vitamin and very important. Niacin breaks down in the body to niacinaminde. ( as a aside only niacin causes flushing). Niacinamide breaks down into Nicotinamide riboside.
So by the time all this breakdown happens there " ain't " much left. So we must supplement to get enough to improve the above communication.
Is the proof all in for humans? No, but I am very encouraging to try and has no overdose or down sides at all, as far as I can see. Want to wait for the studies. Well you can wait, but I am not going to. I am 78 years old and I do not have the time to spare.
Now don't take my word for it. Go to    www.ixquick.com or www.duckduckgo.com
Neither one of these search engines will track you or steer you to a website to sell stuff. No records are made. Google does!
Put in nicotinamide riboside reaserch. It is worth while and I believe everyone should do their own research. You probably do not know me from Adam! My job is to make you familiar with new things and you to confirm it in your mind.
That is it for now.

Losing weight Easily

10/30/2017

First a update. I am almost 78 and doing fine. In fact, I feel better than than I have in many years. There are many reasons besides losing weight..I will get into those later.
People struggle to lose weight. Those that do tend to gain it back. I thing to lose weight you must initiate a life style of eating. Eating carbs and sugar is addictive. Being hungry is very difficult to deal with. How to deal with this and be successful for the long term?
Intermittant fasting seems to be the answer. It is easy and if implemented correctly is very successful..here is how. Eat anything you want with one caveat. Go without food, coffee, tea, water ok, for at least 12 hours. 16 hours is better. On this regime you will lose 3 to six lbs every three months. Slow and easy. That is 12 to 24 lbs a year. You did not gain the weight overnight and will not lose it overnight.
This is a program that you can stick with.
Some references from  www.ixquick.com search engine. This engine does not track you and steer you to sales like Google does.
Intermittent fasting
Intermittent fasting (IF) is an umbrella term for various diets that cycle between a period of fasting and non-fasting... More

Jun 4, 2017 ... This is a detailed guide to intermittent fasting (IF). Studies show that it can help you lose weight, improve health and perhaps even live longer.
  2. The Beginner's Guide to Intermittent Fasting - James Clearhttps://jamesclear.com/the-beginners-guide-to-intermi...Proxy  Highlight
Intermittent fasting is one of the simplest strategies that can help you lose fat, gain muscle and live healthy.

Something to make it easier. Sugar, carbs and at least most non dietetic sweetners increase your appetite.
Take a look at the people in front of you at the check out line in the grocery store. How fat are they? What are they buying? So avoid carbs and sugar start eating foods like veggies, eggs and meat ( 3 ounces a day of meat). Veggies contain all the carbs you need. Cook with oils that are solid at room temperature. Palm oil, coconut oil, butter and lard.
  3. These things are all healthy and help curb your appetite. I know the statin drug companies do not agree with me. Do your own research and you will find the whole story of cholesterol is very much in question.
  4. The next blog will to be on how to actually make you feel and be younger. No kidding. Studies by NIH agree that the study I will tell you about is real and work. Many universities are now studing this new supplement.

A Revaluation of Vitamin D

1/10/2017

.I am seeing a shift in vitamin D dosing. I read years ago that a dose of ten thousand units of vitamin D has never caused a case of toxicity. That statement still holds true in almost everyone with one exception. If you have elevated calcium levels in your blood you should not take vitamin d without a periodic examination of your calcium levels because high calcium levels is the mechanism that causes toxicity. Simply, no elevated calcium and there is no toxicity.
I am reading where doses of up to 40 thousand vitamin D units a day can diminish and stop M.S. symptoms. Read here google high dose vitamin D for MS
.http://www.webmd.com/multiple-sclerosis/news/20090428/high-doses-vitamin-d-cut-ms-relapses#1
So change is occuring, but this dosing level is not accepted as "Standard of Care" by the Medical community. Stay tuned, but don't hold your breath as disimination of this information and double blind studies are slow to occur. I will remind you that a standard dose of 4,000 iu of vitamin D was thought to cause possible toxicity ten years ago. Some still believe that in the medical community and are ignorant of the benefits of vitamin D.
ANYONE, taking vitamin D should be taking magnesium too. It should be easily absorbed and free of heavy metals form of it. I would not take a magnesium supplement that was not certified to have heavy metals removed! One additional comment. Magnesium oxide is the poorest of all choices to take magnesium because it is more valuable as a laxative. The consequences of not taking magnesium is to increase odds that you will have a heart irregularity. Lack of magnesium can cause muscle spasms. This is not a good thing!
What I do is take magnesium Chloride that has been treated to remove heavy metals. I use it as a spray directly on sore joints and muscles. It works quite well and is absorbed through the skin. This form is called magnesium oil, though there is no oil in it. Another way is to take it mixed with a juice. Of course, taking it as a oral preparation does not work as well on sore joints and muscles but does meet the general recommendation of the proper dose. It comes in a powdered form and it obtainable on line. I buy it by the pound and mix it as a spray with distilled water and with orange juice as a oral supplement.
I am also seeing that vitamin D, magnesium and Boron are all important for general health and strong bones. Boron is another subject to check out. I have delt with this in a post months ago.

How to commit murder, legally

12/1/2016

I try to put up a title that will get your eye. I think this will do it. I am trying to make a point that may not be obvious to most.
So how to commit murder and not get caught. Well anything that causes inflammation will automatically shorten life, increase pain, heart disease and cancer. So buy the object of your disaffection lots of candy, cake and sweets of all kinds. Reduce the vitamin content of their diet by not cooking vegitables for them or cooking them so they are soggy and don't forget to throw out the water they were cooked in.
Encourage them to stay in the house and avoid the sun. Pretty simple and no one will figure it out. Lastly do not be discouraged that this may take a long time. We are seeing increased cancer and cardiovascular disease in younger and younger population of people. Some in their teens. Could it be diet and life style. Last of all let your children eat anything they want. After all disapline in the family and schools is not a good thing.

Obviously, I don't believe the above is what should be done. Just trying to make a point or two.

Don'T Feel Well, Anxious To much Stress?

10/2/2016

If you have read at all my blog, you realize that inflammation is the results of diseases of civilization. To reduce inflammation is to improve all aspects of your life. What reduces inflammation? Simply put everything I have blogged about reduces inflammation.
A list of what reduces inflammation.
vitamin D...especially when optimized....400 iu a day will not change anything significantly. At least 1000 iu per 25 lbs, and that includes children.
Magnesium works with vitamin D, and reduces inflammation. I prefer magnesium
chloride. There are no gut issues with it in this form. Magnesium oxide, easily obtainable, is no good. It is a laxative.
Minimize sugar and grain products. These are addictive. The urge to eat these  will be minimized when the sugar and grain products are avoided and.......
Probiotcs are started. Look at the above sentence again. And yes reduces inflammation and stress.
Boron.....I see that the fruit form of boron may work much quicker. It may take as much as three months for to work if you do not use this form. All the above work with boron. Reduces joint pain too.
Curcumin BCM-95. I like Tetrahydrocurcumin as I believe it is more potent.
Frankensense in the form of Boswellia Serrata....Up to the maximum amount of 1500 mg.
Devils Claw. It has been used for centuries by primitive tribes in Africa and is used extensively in Europe.
As mentioned above stop sugar and grains, maximize vegitables, fruit and protein. Fats are good for you if you limit them to Palm oil, Lard, and coconut oil. Olive oil is fine, but do not cook with it. In other words any oil that is a solid at room temperature and olive oil great on your salids etc, but do not cook with it. All the other oils break down in to bad things, especially when heated.
Btw, what I read has a hard time telling the difference between ageing and inflammation. Cut inflammation and decrease the rate at which ageing occurs.
Just what the Doctor ordered? Not at all. I don't agree with doctors who have not studied these subjects. Read my blogs.

Multiple Sclerosis

8/24/2016

In my own readings I have seen this kind of results reported at least three different times. Each time the dose was 20000 units or 40000 units a day. In other readings I have seen reports that a great deal of vitamin D is required to get the level up in some individuals. The thought was that was because of a magnesium deficiency. I think some thing else maybe need also. Boron. Also, some of these people ran much higher vitamin D levels. Over 150 ng/ml. Toxic is over 200 ng and is signalled by a elevated calcium level.
Check it out for your self.

THIS FROM VITAMIN D COUNCIL
Member’s spotlight: vitamin D and multiple sclerosisPosted on August 23, 2016 by Vitamin D Council
I have been working since 2007 to learn about this vitamin, after receiving devastating news that my 17 year old daughter had Multiple Sclerosis. I was angry, and I wanted to understand why this happened. I read everything I could get my hands on, every journal, study, YouTube video, to see what everyone else was hearing and seeing. Diet, Epstein-Barr, obesity, genetics, so many different potential factors but the one factor that I kept seeing everywhere was vitamin D deficiency. Seemed likely since we cover in sunscreen to prevent skin cancer, avoid the sun for its damaging effects, and yet never think about what we are robbing our bodies of at the same time and not replacing.
My daughter was put on a daily injecting medication that cost us out of pocket $2200.00 each month, the insurance paid the other $3000.00. The relapses continued, her reactions continued, I grew more desperate to help her. I feared for her and her future. I feared for her life. We increased her dosage from 2000 IU daily to 10,000 IU, with her Neurologist okay. She seemed to stabilize, was it the medication finally doing its job or the increase in vitamin D? I decided to increase her to another 10,000 IUs each day for a total of 20,000 IU and after one pretty horrific physical reaction to an injection we stopped the medication all together, and waited. We used no other meds, continued on the higher dose of vitamin D daily, did labs to be sure we stayed in a safe range (74 ng/ml) and said a prayer. She continued doing well. Her fatigue abated, her energy returned she looked amazing and was a full time college student now.
When we repeated her MRI’s in 2013 and her Neurologist told her if he had not seen her initial MRI’s when she was diagnosed in 2007, he saw no new signs of the disease and the previous evidence of disease was almost entirely gone. He stated, “it’s remarkable.” He told us to keep up with whatever we were doing, because she was in full remission. Only then did I reveal we had stopped the medication in 2011, and was only using vitamin D at 20,000 IU daily. He checked her chart and remarked her level was perfect. He smiled and said, “clearly its working for you.” As he began to exit the room he turned and said, “you’re the second patient in my practice using only vitamin D therapy and having excellent results,” he hugged us both and said, “I pray I will never see you again” with a smile. I knew what he meant. While he could not recommend the therapy for her disease, it clearly was working.
We are now in 2016, and she has not had one episode since 2010. Her fatigue is gone, her health is perfect. We do labs twice a year and work with her primary doctor to check all her other labs to be sure nothing goes off course. Even though she is on a very high dosage of vitamin D, her vitamin D level has never been above 76 ng/ml, which tells me she requires more than the “recommended” dosage for whatever reason (genetics, body type, I don’t know). I discovered Dr. Cicero Coimbra and his recent studies and success with high dose Vitamin D and am astonished at the results. I think this is huge news. It may not be for everybody, I understand, but you owe it to yourself to work with your doctor to see if maybe it might!
I began the entire family on vitamin D daily in 2010 and we have all been very healthy, one cold in six years, our labs continue to reflect only positive things and as a result I placed my mom who is 74 and has struggled with IBS for years on a 10,000 IU dosage which after seeing her primary care doctor yesterday was told, you are in excellent health, her labs were perfect. She has been free from her IBS symptoms now for three years, which had never happened with all the medication she has taken over the years to manage her symptoms. She believes too, its the D!
Clearly you have to work with your doctor. Clearly you have to do your own research and find answers that sometimes even doctors do not know, and you have to know what this vitamin does and just how vital it is to our human bodies. ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF! I have spent since 2007 learning just how vitamin D works and while I am not a doctor, I believe I have my degree in “D”! I follow the Vitamin D Council for the latest news, information and updates. I find I refer a lot of people to the site too as it is spelled out so easily and understandably. How to take it, why it matters, how it works, it is priceless information really.
In closing, the only problem I find is folks’ hesitancy to understand vitamin D in comparison to medications. They will quickly follow a doctor’s script, but won’t believe that something so simple just might be a component to their health concerns. I realized that it’s okay; I have found my answers, what works for our family and my daughter. Others have to do what they believe is best for them too. Oh and by the way, she completed college, with double degrees. She is doing amazing and is still disease free!
Don’t be afraid to learn and don’t be afraid to try, work with your doctors but know this vitamin could be the sunshine you have been missing in your life! THANK YOU VITAMIN D COUNCIL……..ONE RAY AT A TIME YOU ARE CHANGING LIVES!
Sincerely,
Kimberly, Nevada

Again toxicity is over 200 ng/ml and is signaled by a elevated calcium level.
